The Steering Committee of the Maalim Seif Foundation is honoured and pleased to announce a two days conference to celebrate the life and times of Maalim Seif Sharif Hamad that will take place at the Golden Tulip Airport Hotel in Zanzibar on November 5th and 6th, 2021.
The Conference will be be an annual event with the aim and purpose of commemorating and celebrating the extraordinary life of the noble man who served Zanzibar and the United Republic of Tanzania in various capacities over a 45 years period that culminated into his stint as the Chief Minister and twice as the First Vice President of Zanzibar.
The Annual Conference is inspired by the legacy of Maalim Seif as an icon who left an indelible mark in politics, human development and welfare of the peoples of Zanzibar and Tanzania as much as Africa and the world at large.
The theme of this year’s conference is:
“MAALIM SEIF AND THE LEGACY OF RECONCILIATION AND NATIONAL UNITY IN BUILDING A PROSPEROUS AND DEMOCRATIC ZANZIBAR AND TANZANIA“
Distinguished speakers and panelists from inside and outside the country including those who worked closely with Maalim Seif during his career and leadership have been invited to share their perspectives on his personal role and lessons learnt in building NATIONAL UNITY AND RECONCILIATION.
